The home has 4 official bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms with a mix of antiques and modern decor. There is a large mudroom on the ground floor with a wood burning stove, full bathroom, and space for coats, boots, and sporting equipment. The central living areas include an inviting living room with library and double-sided fireplace connecting the formal dining room. There is a new kitchen with top-of-the-line range, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and espresso machine as well as an island for meal preparation and a breakfast table that seats 6. The kitchen has a wood burning fireplace and French doors leading to a back stone patio with a grill and table for alfresco dining. There are over 8 acres of land with multiple streams, a pond, and barns to explore.
The house is a peaceful refuge, the neighbors are friendly, and the local farm stands abundant. The wildlife is plentiful, too; we have ducks on the pond, turkeys in the woods, and the occasional heron. Oh, and there’s a fox who likes to nap on our dock on sunny afternoons.
Upstairs, the home has a primary bedroom with a queen mahogany four poster bed, tv, walk-in closet, and ensuite bathroom; a spacious, light-filled guest room with queen modern four poster bed; a serene third bedroom with a queen bed; and a well-appointed fourth bedroom with two twin beds. There is a hallway full bath and a laundry room with washer and dryer along with a large activity room with tv, couch, and overflow beds/day beds.
